Get Bank Help Fast – on Twitter!
Posted: January 15th, 2011 | Author: Joe | Filed under: Tips | Tags: Banking, online banking, twitter | No Comments »If you’re tired of waiting on hold while phoning customer support at your local mega-bank, you may want to try twitter instead.
As this Money Central article points out, more and more credit issuers have taken to using Twitter for more immediate customer support (and a little PR too)! After all, if you can not only solve your customer’s problem but do so in a public forum, it’s a win for all sides as it becomes a bit of positive PR for the company.
Tips for tweeting your case.
Just as there are ways to go about dealing with your creditors that will make the process easier, so there are certain things that will smooth your Twitter experience when tweeting your complaints. Here are a few of them:
- Be focused. Even though you’re limited to 140 characters, you can still wander from your main point.
- Use the right tags. For example, if you are expressing a problem with your Bank of America account, you’ll want to include the BofA_Help tag to ensure you’re tweet will be seen in a timely manner.
- Watch for responses to your tweet. Either check back frequently or use http://www.tweetdeck.com/ to keep an eye on things.
